hotelleriesuisse is the national umbrella organisation of the Swiss hotel industry and has 21 regional hotelier associations and over 100 sections.

 

The association has 3350 members; around 2200 of these are hotels which, in total, generate over 80% of the overnight hotel stays in Switzerland.

 

The main tasks of hotelleriesuisse include:

• The continual further development of Swiss hotel classification
• Representing the politico-economic and touristic interests of Swiss hoteliers at a federal level
• Nurturing the social partnership via the General Contract of Employment in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry
• Conveying expertise and knowledge in order to promote entrepreneurship and staff qualification in the hotel and restaurant industry
• Providing an advisory and information service for entrepreneurs in the hotel and tourism industry

• Publishing the independent industry newspaper "hotel+tourismus revue (htr)" as well as other trade publications for the industry
